Congratulations to Gosfield Hall in Essex!

Gosfield Hall in Essex has been voted by Hitched as one of the Top 25 wedding venues in the UK.

....and if you would like to see what a wedding at Gosfield Hall looks like, have a look at the following blog (A Harry Potter themed Wedding for Sophie and James).

Ever since Sophie and James booked us for their wedding (over 2 years ago) we had been looking forward to shooting their wedding at this special venue.

Although we had shot here before we haven't featured the venue on our blog before so here's a little bit about the venue and Sophie and James' special day.

A quick guide to the venue!

Gosfield Hall can be found in Constable Country, in glorious rural Essex, only 30 minutes from Stansted. It's a former royal palace and is part of Country House Weddings Ltd, a family-owned and run wedding venue group.

We've also shot at Holmewood Hall and Leez Priory; venues which are part of the same group. The subjects for future blogs.

A stunning view of Gosfield Hall taken with our drone on the day. For further details have a look at the Gosfield hall website:-

Bridal Prep

The bridal suite at Gosfield has to be seen to be believed. If you're thinking of holding your wedding here, get to one of their open days or make an appointment to go and see it.

You have to see it to believe it. The room is massive and bedecked in marble and there are massive mirrors. There's also the 4 poster bed.

When both the bride and groom are getting ready at the same venue, having 2 photographers means we can also get some pics of the Groomsmen getting ready as well.

I will spare their blushes from the getting ready shots but as they were ready and wanted some pics in the Library, we had a bit of fun!

The Ceremony.

The ceremony didn't take place in Gosfield Hall. Instead both the Groom and Bridal party took a short walk across the field to the local church - St. Catherine's.

Back to Gosfield Hall where it was time for drinks, canapes, the obligatory confetti throwing, formal photos and a drone shot of the whole wedding party

The Wedding Breakfast

The former Marquis of Buckingham’s Ballroom was the setting for the Wedding Breakfast. Table names and the favours all carried on the Harry Potter theme as did the Seating Plan.

After the Wedding Breakfast it was time to cut the Harry Potter themed cake. Doesn't it look fantastic?

First Dance.

A brilliantly choreographed first dance. Then it was time to party!

At this time of year there's a great opportunity for some golden hour shots.

Then we got the drone out again!

Sophie and James choose a package which included our photo booth. Here is our booth all set up in the Library, and the Harry Potter theme continued with Harry potter props.

Our thanks.

We'd like to thank Tara and all the team at Gosfield Hall for their hospitality on the day and for their professionalism and hard work. It's great to work with such a talented and committed team who clearly enjoy their work.

We look forward too working with you again soon.

We offer a number of packages to suit all budgets. If you would like to know more please have a look at our brochure:-
