A wedding Photographers Guide
Today our blog and small guide features Aaron & Charlotte's Wedding,
Venue: Ravenwood Hall, Suffolk
We love to go a journey with our couples from that initial enquiry, to the big day itself and beyond until we deliver their photographs.
Fortunately, after Aaron had proposed and the timetable was set Covid19 didn't have any affect on Charlotte's and Aaron's special day, although we're sure there were a few nervous moments.
We met up with them in October 2020 (between lockdowns) for Charlotte and Aaron's pre-wedding shoot, with the wedding actually taking place in October 2021. By this time Charlotte was pregnant so it was Charlotte, Aaron and Bump's wedding! You will soon be able to read all about Charlotte and Aaron's special day in the Spring/Summer edition of A Suffolk Ceremony magazine - available online, or in printed form, from all Suffolk Registry offices.
We include a pre-wedding or anniversary shoot in all our packages and always meet or have a zoom call with all our couples, so we know the day they want!

A quick guide to the venue!
Ravenwood Hall is on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds. It is an independent hotel and has been owned by the Jarvis family for 35 years. Some great food to be had in its restaurant!
Charlotte arriving in style.
Bridal Prep.
With most of our couples we begin the day with Bridal prep. Our aim is to tell the story of the day, in pictures, from the preparations to the first dance as a married couple. Bridal prep is about the bride (and her bridesmaids) relaxing, reflecting and occasionally panicking BUT always good fun!
"First look" is always a great shot and requested by many of our couples. Having 2 photographers means you don't just get proud Dad's reaction, we get the bride's too.
Ceremony
The ceremony and reception were all held at Ravenwood. Suffolk Registrars from the Bury St Edmund's Registry Office officiated.
After the ceremony
Afterwards drinks and canopies were served. It's a great time for us to get some candid photos of guests relaxing with each other. Then we got everyone out for our signature drone shot! What a great memory our drone shot provides. Everyone who is at the wedding is on this shot.

The Evening
After that the cake was cut, first dance and then the party really got started!
Ravenwood hall provides a great atmosphere for evening shots!
Our couple had hired our Glitter booth Pod with glitter background (we offer a choice of 6 different backgrounds) - always a hit when the guests have had a few drinks!
